C. Marvin Brown, 85, Webster City, died Thursday, December 28, 2000 at the St. Mary's Hospital at Rochester, Mn. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and prior to services on Wednesday.

Charles Marvin Brown, son of Charles and Alice Sands Brown, was born September 29, 1915 at Webster City. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He started farming with his father and also operated Clearview Dairy, later known as Brown's Dairy in Webster City. On July 24, 1938 he married Florence M. Swanson at Fort Dodge. In the mid 50's the dairy was sold to Forrester Dairy. He worked for Woodard Feed for five years and then was an independent Master Mix Feed dealer until his retirement in 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Florence, son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Marlene Brown of Bend, Oregon, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two step-great-grandchildren, sister, Arris Richardson of Story City, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.

He was a member of the Church of Christ of Webster City, where he was a Deacon of the church for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
