Funeral services for H. P. Hansen, who died Friday evening, following a several months illness with heart trouble and complications, were held Tuesday afternoon from the Lanstad Lutheran church. The pastor, the Rev. H. E. Jacobson officiated and burial was made in the Buckeye cemetery.

Hans P. Hansen was born at Ustrop, Denmark, May 6, 1863. Here he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

In 1883 he came to America and settled at Cedar Falls. Since 1913 he has made his home on his farm six miles south of Williams in Rose Grove township. In 1893 he was married to Sophia Hansen, who died on June 6, 1902. To this union was born one boy, who died in infancy and four daughters, Mrs. Lily Devenbaugh, of La Grange, Ind.; Mrs. Nettie Frette, of Radcliffe; Mrs. Mabel Olson, of Goldfield, and Mrs. Edna Wedekin, of Dows.

On April 20, 1906 he was married to Mary Hansen, of Ustrop, Denmark. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Dora Thinesen, of Askov, Minn.; and three sons, Harry, Thorvald and Herman.

Mr. Hansen enjoyed the best of health until about six years ago. Since that time, he has suffered from heart trouble. Recently pneumonia and other complications set in which resulted in his death.

He leaves his wife and eight children, besides thirteen grandchildren, three brothers, James and Louis, of Williams, and Chris, of Popejoy, and two sisters, Mrs. Harry Peterson, of Dows, and Mrs. Minnie Peterson, of Alden.
