STRATFORD - Funeral services for Rodney D. Carlson, 19, of rural Stratford, who lost his life in an auto accident south of Webster City Tuesday evening, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope. The Rev. Dwight McElree will officiate with burial in the South Marion cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin funeral chapel in Stratford Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 8 to 11 a.m.

Rodney D. Carlson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Carlson of Rural Route 1, Stratford, was born Feb. 23, 1959 at Ames. He was graduated in 1977 from South Hamilton high school at Jewell, and was active in the FFA organization.

He had been a student at Iowa Central Community college in Webster City, and was employed at Britson Distributing Co. in Webster City.

Surviving are his parents; one brother, Curtis Carlson of Stanhope; two sisters, Michelle and Janelle Carlson, both at home, and his grandmother, Mrs. Archie Carlson of Stratford.

Rodney Carlson was a member of and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope.
