Services May 6 for Clarence Carlson, 86

Clarence Carlson, 86, passed away Monday evening, 5:30 p.m. at University Hospital, Iowa City. He lived at the Runn Custodial Home six months prior to going to Iowa City.

Funeral services will be Thursday 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Kerwin Goodwin officiating. Burial will be at South Marion Cemetery. Hansons Funeral Home of Stratford are in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters and a son, Mrs. Marie Martin of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mrs. Everett Mabel Bergman of Stratford and Wayne Carlson, San Bernardino, California, five grandchildren and a brother, Sam Carlson of Compton, California.

Mr. Carlson lived in and around Stratford all his life. In younger years he was a mechanic and electrician, later becoming a painter and carpenter.
