Sherrill Bell, 81, of Webster City, died on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mike Kroona, officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Sherrill E. Mallo, daughter of Howard and Velda Woodmansee Mallow, was born November 9, 1936 in Webster City. She graduated from Lincoln High. On April 14, 1957 she married Burdette “Shorty” Bell Jr. at the English Lutheran Church in Webster City. Sherrill worked for Morton’s Frozen Foods and then Electrolux for 30 years.

She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Raske of Hubbard, Patty Nilles of Webster City, Shirley (Marvin) Douty of Buena Vista, CO and Tom (Sharyn) Mallo of Webster City; 11 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shorty Bell Jr.

Sherrill was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the UAW. She was an avid sports fan, watching hockey, football, and basketball, cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs. Sherrill enjoyed fishing and she was willing to help anyone.
