Debra Sue Slauson, 63, died, May 4, 2018 in a local hospital. She was a native of Webster City, Iowa and lived in Sparta, New Jersey and Norfolk, Virginia.

She is the daughter of Dorothy Abels Berleen and the late Richard Berleen. She was a graduate of Northeast Hamilton High School. She was a Roman Catholic.

Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, James Roy Slauson and her daughter, Kathleen Slauson-Blevins and her husband, Michael of Norfolk and her mother of Hampton, Iowa. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Shelton of Hampton, Iowa and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM. The Reverend Father George Prado will officiate.

Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk, Virginia SPCA
