Linda Jane Tapper, 72, of Webster City died on Saturday, March 24, 2018, in her home. Family and friends will be celebrating her life on Wednesday, March 28, at 11:00 AM at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the church. Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) of Webster City is caring for the family.

Linda was born May 14, 1945, to Wendell and Cecil (Hill) Henderson in Webster City, Iowa. She graduated from Webster City High School and married her love, Roger Tapper, on September 11, 1965.

Linda was a dedicated farm wife and mother. When her children entered school, Linda worked off the farm for Farm Journal, Riverview Day Care and was co-owner of the Cornerstone Christian Bookstore in Webster City. She retired from Webster City Schools as a favored “lunch lady”.

Linda loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She loved being a part of their sporting events, their musical productions and sharing in their individual talents. She treasured her many friends and recent time spent with classmates. She was fun-loving, always up for an adventure and quick to flash her smile. Linda shared many of her crafts including crocheting, quilting, painting, and scrapbooking. She was known by many as “Crafty Lady” and enjoyed sharing her gifts in many ways. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club, Community Church of Kamrar and recently, Faith United Methodist Church

Her family includes three children: Dawn (Patrick Lynch) Carlson of Dallas Center, Wendi (Brad) Dinsdale of Webster City and Kelly (Karen) Tapper of Ames. She was proud of her six grandchildren Cody & Paige Carlson, Josi, Gavin & McKenna Dinsdale & Lexie Tapper. She has two sisters: Judy (Larry) Fenner of Davenport and Donna (Michael) Richardson of Long Beach, CA. She has many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Tapper, her parents and two brothers: Michael Henderson and Wendell (Dale) Henderson.

Linda was a quiet and humble woman who loved the Lord. Memorial donations will be used to help the organizations that she held dear.
