Robert Dale Samuelson, 89 of Stanhope passed away at Green Hills Health Care Center on Thursday March 22, 2018.

Following Robert’s wishes his body has been cremated and a private graveside service with interment to follow at Saratoga Cemetery.

Robert Dale Samuelson, son of Rosa Rans Samuelson and Arthur G. Samuelson was born March 10, 1929 on a farm near Woodward.

In 1935 the family moved to their farm east of Stanhope. Robert graduated from Stanhope High School in 1947, attended Iowa State and worked in Perry until he started farming north of Stanhope.

June 3, 1950 he married Eva Arloie Bottorff and they were married for over 60 years until her passing in 2010.

Survivors are daughters, Cindra (Douglas) Goodburn, Roberta (Daniel) Lawler and son, Arlon (Pamela) Samuelson.

Cherished grandchildren: Nathan Goodburn, Trevor Goodburn, Monica (Scott) Weinman, Rachel (Jason) Shumaker, Sara (Brian) Anderson, Sandra (Matt) Swanson, Casey Samuelson and 7 Great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Stanhope Public Library Foundation.
