Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, March 12, 2018

Ray Bringolf, 70, of Webster City, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Craig Blaufuss officiating. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Alva Ray Bringolf, the son of Alva “Dike” and Elva Mae Roberts Bringolf, was born October 27, 1947 in Webster City. He was a 1966 graduate of Webster City High School, Northwest Missouri State and Chico College in California. Ray met the Love of his Life in January of 1992 and has shared 26 wonderful years with his wife Marlene Francis-Bringolf.

He worked for Nissen’s and later Peterson Construction as a mason until his retirement.

Ray is survived by his wife, Marlene of Webster City; sister, Donna Bringolf of Webster City; nephews, Tom (Renee) Bringolf, Mike (Carmen) Bringolf and Bob (JoAnn) Bringolf; and many extended family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Raymond C. Bringolf and Robert Bringolf.

Razor enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, canning and hunting. He played on the Webster City Boosters fast pitch softball team and the Slow Break basketball team, was a lifeguard at the Webster City Pool and an official for Webster City football games.
