DEATH OF MRS GUNDER THOMPSON

Mrs. Gunder Thompson, who has been failing in health for some time but who has been quite well lately, died very suddenly and unexpectedly at her home two miles west of Randall, Thursday of last week, July 11th.

Ingebord Toebjorns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tobjornens Obe, was born October 6th, 1845, at Sand Prestejeld, Norway, and was 72 years, 9 months and 5 days old at the time of her departure from life. She came to America in 1881 and lived four years at Morriss, Ill., at which place she was married to Gunder Thompson in the year 1885. Two children were born to them, Lee Rudolph Thompson of Ames and Mrs. Rollie Romp of Ames, both of whom survive. She lived in Ford county, Ill., until 1900, when the family moved to Hamilton county, living in this community since.

Funeral services were held Monday at the home at one o'clock and at the church at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Paulsrud. Interment was made at the Mount Olive cemetery. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The choir and a male quartet sang. The pall bearers were Knute Knutson, Chris Johnson, M.M. Teigland, Swen Bratland, Jess Romp and Mr. Severson of Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Thompson was a faithful and devoted member of the Lutheran church and in her long and useful life she exemplified many beautiful deeds as a true Christian woman, a loving mother and a devoted wife.

This community has lost a true friend and a noble character, and to the sorrowing relatives we extend our deepest sympathy.
