Chris Fredericksen, 70, died at 7 a.m. today at Hamilton county hospital. He had suffered a stroke last Friday and had been at the hospital since then.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. M.E. Suhr officiating and with burial on the family lot in the Memorial Park cemetery at Fort Dodge.

Christian Maurius Fredericksen, son of Peter and Anna Fredericksen, was born June 4, 1883, in Aslborg, Denmark. He was reared and educated in Denmark, and came to the United States in 1903, locating in Wisconsin. He was employed there for several years before moving to Webster City.

After he came here he engaged in tile contracting work for a number of years. In 1922, he returned to Denmark and was united in marriage there June 22, 1922 to Miss Caroline Clemmonsen [Clemonsen in other family obits]. The couple returned to the United States and started housekeeping in Webster City.

In 1928 they moved to a farm just west of this city, where he operated a dairy until April, 1944. The family then moved into Webster City, his home since. He had been employed for five years at Fairmont Food Co.

He is survived by four sons and three daughters: Harold and Marvin of Webster City; James of Fort Dodge and Chris, Jr., at home; Mrs. Virgil (Lillian) Gage of Webster City, Mrs. James (Betty) Hill of Stanhope and Mrs. Larry (Carolyn) Willson of Webster City; six grandchildren; two brothers and one sister living in Denmark.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents and one sister. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith in Denmark.
