Marjaleen (Marge) J. Thompson, 91 of Webster City, died on Dec. 19, 2017 at her home in Windsor Manor Assisted Living. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 27, at Boman Funeral Home (www.bomanfh.com) in Webster City, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Funeral service will be 1:00pm on Thursday, Dec. 28th at the Bethel Lutheran Church, Vinje Iowa, with Pastor Kevin Olson officiating.

Marge was born on October 23, 1926 in Bricelyn, MN to Tom and Clara Hanson. She attended and graduated from school in Bricelyn, MN. Marge married Helmer Thompson on March 29th, 1945. The couple enjoyed 52 years of marriage before Helmer passed away. She married Donald Dace on Sept. 23, 2000.

Marge had many different jobs over the years including secretary, tele-marketing, grocery clerk and skilled factory work. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, taking walks, Bible study and loved the old hymns. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Heber Springs Arkansas.

Her family includes: four sons: Ronald (Kim) of Austin, TX, Richard (Margaret) of Temple Terrace, FL, Thomas of Heber Springs, AR and Denis (Deb) of Webster City, IA; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Blanche Wuerflein, Mavis Cox, Lois Nelson and Alice Gjerde. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Helmer in 1997 and Donald in 2003; brother Arlow Hanson, sisters Ardene Thompson, Florence Jacobson: and grand-daughter Hannah Thompson
