Milo G. Halsne, 91, Webster City, died May 1, 1999 at his home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Doug Halsne officiating at the Foster Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday.

Milo Gilbert Halsne, son of Rasmus and Bertha Halsne Halsne was born Sept. 6, 1907 on a farm near Williams. He started farming with his father. March 27, 1934 he married Gladys Lorene Neff at Nashua. The couple farmed southeast of Blairsburg. They moved to Webster City in 1981. Mrs. Halsne preceded him in death on March 14, 1993.

He is survived by a son and daughters-in-law, Arlen and Darlene Halsne of Waterloo, Barb Halsne of Blairsburg, daughter and son-in-law, Bethene and David Player of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother Torges Halsne, Williams, sisters, Gladys Larson and Jeanette Miller, Santa Maria, CA., several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry on August 8, 1996, his parents, brothers Ruben and Percy Halsne, and a sister, Serena Long.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Webster City, the Blairsburg Lions Club, former board member of the Cooperative Elevator and former member of the Blairsburg School Board.
