Mrs. R.J. (Mary) Wilson, 89, a longtime Webster City resident, died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton county hospital where she had been a patient the past 10 weeks. She had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Irvin Dally of Baxter Springs, Kans., officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mary Jane Hooker, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Hooker, was born Aug. 18, 1872, on a farm near Hagertown, Ill., and was reared and educated in that community.

She was united in marriage Sept. 26, 1890, to William Blackburn, and to this union two sons and four daughters were born: Mrs. Cleada Smith, Decatur, Ill., Mrs. Edward (Alta) Johnson, Webster City, and two sons and two daughters who preceded her in death. Mr. Blackburn died in 1903.

On Aug. 29, 1904, she was united in marriage at Kinmundy, Ill., to Roland James Wilson, and to this union three sons and one daughter were born, Herschel Wilson, Herbert Wilson and Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Hill, all of Webster City, and one son, Charles Orville Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilson farmed in Illinois until 1917, when they moved to Iowa, locating on a farm north of Webster City. They farmed in Hamilton county until 1941 when they moved into Webster City to their home at 138 First St.

Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 8, 1959.

Besides her husband, two daughters and three sons, she was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by three daughters and two sons, 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Ed (Stella) Wilson of Webster City.

At the age of 15, she was baptized in the Christian faith in Illinois.
