Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Thursday, March 16, 1967

Mrs. Kathryn Kiesecker, 70, a lifelong resident of Webster City, died at 12:10 a.m. today at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been taken following a heart attack suffered a short time earlier at her home, 2310 Highland.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Evangelical United Brethren church with the Rev. A.E. Rau officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9 a.m. Saturday when it will be taken to the church.

Kathryn Conkling, daughter of Francis A. and Sarah Conkling, was born Dec. 23, 1896, at Webster City and was reared and educated in the Webster City community.

She was united in marriage Nov. 29, 1916, to Roy Kiesecker, and the couple had always since resided in Webster City where for many years Mr. Kiesecker was employed by the Zitterell-Mills Co.

She is survived by two sons and four daughters: Eugene Kiesecker, Webster City, Duane Kiesecker, Britt, Mrs. Sam (June) Ades, Mrs. Curt (Julia) Olson, both of Webster City, Mrs. Calvin (Carrie) Hoover, Duncombe and Mrs. Max (Joyce) Hamer, Webster City; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 13, 1945; by her parents; one brother and one sister.

Mrs. Kiesecker was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.

For the past several years, Mrs. Kiesecker had been employed in the kitchen at the Hamilton County hospital.
