Eugene L. Kiesecker, 70, Webster City, died Tuesday, May 2, at the Hamilton County Hospital, where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in failing health for one year. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev. Mark Buchhop officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral home is after 4 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Friday, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Eugene LuVerne Kiesecker, son of Roy and Katherine Conklin Kiesecker, was born May 8, 1918, in Webster City, where he graduated from high school in 1937. He married Annabelle Pfaffenbach on Aug. 4, 1940, in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City, where Mr. Kiesecker was employed for many years at Zitteral Mills. He retired in 1981. He also served with the U.S. Army for four years in the Pacific theater during World War II.

He is survived by his wife Annabelle, Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jerry Foust, Eagle Grove; grandchildren Shanda Foust, Michelle Condon and Chad Foust; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Julia (Mrs. Kurt) Olson, Fort Dodge; Carrie (Mrs. Calvin) Hoover, Duncombe; June (Mrs. Sam) Ades, Webster City; and Joyce Hamer, Sioux City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Mr. Kiesecker was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Webster City.
