Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Monday, December 15, 1975

Maundo Campidilli, 58, a longtime Webster City-Blairsburg area farmer and trucker, died Monday at the Hamilton County hospital. He had been in ill health the past two and one-half years.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Byron Surface officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Maundo Campidilli, son of Joseph and Zena Montalti Campidilli, was born Aug. 10, 1917 at Lehigh. He was reared and educated in the Lehigh community.

On Aug. 3, 1940, he was married to Harriet Thompson, and the couple made their home in Lehigh for two years before moving to the Mulberry Center community where he farmed and was engaged in the trucking business.

He was preceded in death by his wife April 3, 1964.

On Aug. 12, 1967, he was married to Veda Thornton Schuster, and the couple continued to farm until 1973 when he retired from farming and moved to Blairsburg where he continued in the trucking business.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Shari) Madsen, Jr., one step-son, James E. Schuster; two grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters, John Campidilli of Pocahontas, Mrs. Wallace (Jean) Blank, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Howard (Sue) Koestner of Duncombe, Marico Campidilli, Humboldt, C.S. (Spark) Campidilli, Fairbanks, Alaska, Fred Campidilli, Lehigh, Mrs. Dean (Nina) Linn of Fort Dodge and Donald Campidilli of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Joseph Allan Madsen in April, 1970; and one infant sister.
