Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Monday, April 7, 1969

Mrs. Albert (Ortie) Dingman, 71, a lifelong resident of Webster City, died Friday evening at the Hamilton County hospital. She had been in failing health the past year.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with Mr. Bill Gibson of Fort Dodge officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Martha Harriet Lacy, daughter of Charles and Martha Lacy, was born June 2, 1897, on a farm north of Webster City. She moved into Webster City with her parents when she was three years old. She was reared and educated in the Webster City community.

She was united in marriage Oct. 30, 1915, to Albert A. Dingman, and the couple had always made their home in Webster City and had resided at 601 Oak Ave. since 1921. In October, 1965, Mr. and Mrs. Dingman celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

She is survived by sons, Harley Dingman and Richard Dingman, both of Webster City; four grandsons, Michael, on leave from the U.S. Navy, Ricky, Blaine and Kevin Dingman, all of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Asher (Jemima) Grover and Mrs. Maxwell (Effie) McCollough, both of this city; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Feb. 25, 1966; by a daughter, who died in infancy; by her parents, one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Dingman was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, and was a member of the Eastside Ladies Aid.
