Jensen-Riley
Wednesday, February 14th [1917], occurred the marriage of Florence, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Jensen, of south of Ames, to Victor R. Riley, of Blairsburg, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Riley, of Jewell, Rev. L.C. Harris, of Ames, performing the ceremony, the impressive ring service being used. The wedding was attended by about forty immediate relatives of the young couple and included the following: Messrs. and Mesdames E.L. Riley, Earl Riley, C.H. Taylor and the Misses Myrtle and Gertrude Riley, of Jewell, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Stark, of Stanhope, Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Riley of Blairsburg, the bride's cousins, Chris and Julius Jensen, of Ames, and Richard Peterson, of Kenmare, North Dakota.
In keeping with St. Valentine's Day, hearts were prominent in the decorations. The bride wore sheer white embroidered organdy, with white veil and flowers. Beautiful and useful were the numerous gifts received. Mrs. Lloyd Riley sang "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly" before and after the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Riley will be at home to their many friends on the farm five miles from Jewell after March 15th. They left for Chicago on their wedding trip Wednesday evening.
The people of Blairsburg join in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Riley a happy and prosperous life.
