Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 9 Dec. 1919. McGregor column. Relatives here received word Monday of the death of James McGhee who was killed in action on October 24, over in France. He was well known here and worked in the office of J. F. Widman & Sons. He is a brother of Jack McGhee who recently returned home. He enlisted at the same time that Frank O'Brien and Melvin Thompson did, and left April 24, 1917.
