Donald V. Todd, 63, of Perry, former public relations man for North Central Public Service Company, died of a sudden heart attack at his home August 15. Mass of the Resurrection was prayed at a funeral service at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Perry last Wednesday at 7;30 p m Interment was made in St Mary's Cemetery at Jamaica.
Born in Dawson, April 27, 1914, Mr. Todd was the son of Arthur and Lena Todd. After his marriage to Laura E McDermott of Jamaica August 1, 1936, they lived in Jamaica, Wisconsin and California before moving to Perry ten years ago. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and the Elks Lodge.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Lary, of Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Warren of Perry; a brother, James of Rippey, and three grandchildren.
Mr. Todd had retired from his position with the gas company in April of this year. He was moving the lawn at his home on Willis Avenue when he was fatally stricken.
Rev Fr James E. McIlhon, pastor of St. Patrick's officiated at the final rites. Organist was Mrs. Gene Hurd and the casket was carried by Bill Jenkins. LeRoy Hefflefinger, Elvin Meinecke, Jim Mertz, Bill Graney and Leo Beauchamp.
