Graveside rites will be held Friday at 10:30 am in Highland Cemetery in Bayard for Betty Lou Manor Whitty who died Tuesday. She had been hospitalized since July 8 in Denver General Hospital and had not regained consciousness from brain surgery performed July 14 to remove a blood clot.
Father Richard Bergman of St. Patrick's church will officiate.
The closed casket will be at the Starling Funeral Home today (Thursday).
Betty Lou was graduated from Bayard high school with the class of 1947 and had made her home in Denver following her school years. She is survived by her father, Luther Manor of Coon Rapids; her children, Jimmy and Tim Whitty and Stacie (Mrs. Paul) Vigil and her children, Tanya, Desiree' and Janette, all of Denver; her sisters, Jean (Mrs. Carl) Mehlmann of Denver; Ann (Mrs. Bob) Burmeister, and brother, Richard Manor of Bayard.
Casket bearers will be Donald Brown, Edward Lyons, Larry Long, Richard Huffaker, David Burmeister and Duane Sheer.
