Cranston L Peck, son of Edson W and Susie Leinbaugh Peck, was born in Burlington on July 15, 1904, and passed away at his home in Yale October 11, 1977, at the age of 73 years, two months and 26 days. He was one of three children. The family moved to a farm near Greenfield and lived there until the late 1920's. At this time the family moved to Linden to operate the Linden Feed and Grain Mill.
On December 23. 1930, he was united in marriage to Edna May Cummins. To this union were born daughters, Margaret, Mary and Marcy and a son Jimmie. After living in Linden for a short time he moved his family to the Linden rural community, for a period of of 42 years he was engaged in farming in Dallas and Guthrie counties.
In June 1971, he and Edna retired from their farm south of Panora and moved to Yale. Their leisure has been spent enjoying the company of their family, fellowship with friends, recreational activities and visits to their childrens homes.
During the years of farming he was always available and generous in response to friends and neighbors needs for his assistance. His family will miss his protective guidance and always will remember his loving interest and attention.
