Funeral services were held from the United Methodist Church in Bagley for Emaline Mary (E Mae) Jackson 90 of Estherville, former longtime Green and Guthrie County resident. The Rev Paul Donelson, minister of the church, officiated. Soloist was Mrs. Dean Adkins. Mrs. Gary Maddux was organist.
Casket bearers were Douglas, Dick, Phillip, Gerry and Tim Jackson and Bradley Perkins. Interment was in Greenbrier Township Cemetery at Bagley.
E Mae Jackson, daughter of Charles and Mary Haugh Peters, was born November 7, 1886, near Cooper in Green County. She attended schools in Jefferson, then taught in rural Green County schools.
On May 20, 1908 Mae was united in marriage with Percy M. Jackson at Jefferson. They were the parents of two sons and three daughters. The couple farmed in Green and Guthrie counties until 1920 when they moved to Martin County, Minn. to farm.
In 1928 Mr. and Mrs. Jackson returned to Bagley where Mr. Jackson was a barber until his death in 1955. Mrs. Jackson moved to Estherville in 1958 to be near her daughters and resided there until her death.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville, Royal Neighbors of America, the Auxiliary of Sedan Post No. 302 of the American Legion and Veritas Lodge No. 316 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bagley.
Mrs. Jackson died at Estherville on Friday, January 28. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, three brothers and two grandchildren.
Those who survive include her children, Merritt Jackson of Jefferson, Warren Jackson of Minneapolis, Minn, Mrs. Ross (Mayry) Burris of Ashton, Mrs. Naomi Perkins and Mrs. W. R. (Kathryne) Sidles, both of Estherville; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a brother, John Peters of Jefferson
