Charles William Lauridsen, 51, of rural Scranton, died early Tuesday morning, April 19 following a long illness at St Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the Glidden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clyde Sparks of the United Methodist Church of Scranton officiating.
Interment will be at the Westlawn Cemetery in Glidden with Military rites by the Merle Hay Post, American Legion of Glidden.
Mr. Lauridsen was born on June 26. 1925 to Andrew and Mary Ann (Christensen) Lauridsen in Guthrie County. He was educated in the Glidden-Ralston schools and was an Air Force Veteran of World War ll.
He was united in marriage with Dorthea Linn on March 29, 1958, at Webster City.
Mr. Lauridsen had been field man for the Farmers' Elevator at Scranton for the past ten years. Previously he had worked for 23 years at the Ralston Elevator.
He was a member of the Methodist Church at Ralston and the Merle Hay Post, American Legion, at Glidden.
Surviving with his wife are: three daughters, Mrs. Ken (Denise) Wilkens of Carroll, Ellen Lauridsen of Des Moines and Becky Lauridsen at home; two sons, John and Jim both at home; his mother, Mrs. Andrew Lauridsen of Bayard; a grandson, and four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Esther) Guritz of Manning; Mrs. Ralph (Hilda) Lorton of Hagerstown Ind; Mrs. Roy (Anna) Palmtag of Omaha and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Rosenbladt of Lake Mills.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.
