John R. Tunink, 62, Bear Grove Township farmer burned to death Tuesday afternoon in a hay baler mishap. He was baling alone when he became entangled in the machine and when fire broke out, he died at the scene.
The body is at the Beidelman Funeral Home in Guthrie Center where a Rosary will be prayed tonight at 7:30. The Mass of the Resurrection will be prayed Friday at 10 am at St. Mary's Church in Guthrie Center with the pastor, Fr Joseph Schulte, officiating. Interment will be made in the Resurrection Cemetery east of Guthrie Center.
A veteran of World War 11, Mr. Tunink had farmed for the last 24 years. He is survived by his wife, Monica, three sons, five daughters, three brothers, three sisters and six grandchildren.
