The marriage of Miss Eva Mae Bancroft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar A. Bancroft of Guthrie Center, to Nyle Akers of Brayton, Iowa was solemnized Sunday, September eighteenth at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Christian Church in Exira. Reverend Vergil Neville officiated at the single ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in a blue street length dress and wore a rhinestone necklace, a gift of the groom. She was attended by Miss Shirley Brock, who wore a pink street length dress.

Harold Akers, who served his brother as best man, wore a blue business suit. The groom was attired in a brown business suit.

The bride graduated from Guthrie Center High school and has been living at home since that time.

The groom is engaged in farming near Brayton, where the couple will make their home.
