James P. Zwyers born April 11, 1936, passed away on April 20, 2019 at the age of 83.

Survived by his wife Janice Ellen (Sienknecht) Zwyers of 58 years. His children; James Carter (Suzanne Holland) Zwyers, Jason Bradley (Deanna Klosterkemper), Joni Ellen (SFC Kenneth) Johnson; grandchildren, Miranda Ellen Barroll, James Joseph Zwyers, Mark (Bethany A. Johnson), PFC Mitchell Johnson, Maverick Johnson, Mikayla Johnson, Nick Metts, Mike Metts, Thad (Lindsey) Hellmich, Tyler (Katie) Hellmich, Eliza (Zack) Arnold; great-grandchildren, Molina and Colten Barroll, Lane, Lawton, Cricket, and Cedar Arnold, Wyatt, Weston, Brynn Hellmich, Corbin and Paige Hellmich, Chloe Johnson, James Zwyers.

He is preceded in death by his brother Bernard C. Zwyers.

He was born to Carter P. and Clara G. (Neessen) Zwyers in Wellsburg, Iowa. Married Janice Ellen Sienknecht on June 16, 1960. Jim joined the U. S. Air Force in 1956. After 20 years of active duty he served 20 years of civil service for the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Legion #313, the Amvets #106, and NCOA. He became a father in 1961 to James C., 1964 to Jason B., and 1967 to Joni Ellen. He has left a multitude of life lessons, wisdom, and fond memories to many. A man that will be missed by many. A wonderful husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend to many.
