Annie Jutting

Annie Jutting, daughter of Gerhard and Antje Willems, was born on June 12, 1904 in Grundy County. She was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of Women In The Church. She received her education in German Township.

On December 27, 1928, she was united in marriage to John U. Jutting. They spent their married life farming northwest of Wellsburg. After the death of her husband in 1964, Annie then moved to Ackley.

Mrs. Jutting passed away December 4, 1986 in her home at the age of 82 years, 5 months, 22 days. She is survived by her son, Urban of Wellsburg; her daughter, Ruth Oelmann of Eldora; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margie Beving of Wellsburg; and one brother, Jake Willems, of Ackley. Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter, one grandson, four sisters, and five brothers.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 6 at the Faith Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Diehl officiating. Mrs. Virgil Heetland was organist and singers were Mrs. Merlin Bangasser and Mrs. Gordon Fritz. Ushers were Gordon Fritz and Marvin J. Richtsmeier. Serving as pallbearers were John VanLoh, Noble DeNeui, W. C. Whorrall, Robert Balvanz, Frederic Fisher and Charles Steinfeldt. Interment was in the East Friesland Cemetery. The Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
