Dows—Mrs. Sam Faun, 76, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Flossie Moore, early Wednesday morning.

Mrs. Faun was born Sept 27, 1864, at Husteford, Wisconsin.

She came with her parents to this vicinity at the age of 11. She was united in marriage March 24, 1883, to Samuel Faun and lived on the farms in the vicinity of Dows until 1912, with the exception of one year spent in the Ozarks. In 1912 she moved to Lorimer and lived on a farm there until 1936 when she returned to Dows.

Mr. Faun preceded her in death May 22, 1938. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Eva Severe and Mrs. Flossie Moore, both of Dows; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Malnory of Dows; two brothers, Ernest Wedekin of Dows and John Wedekin of Boone; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was a life long member of the Methodist church.

Funeral services were held at Halvorson's funeral home at Dows Friday afternoon in charge of the Rev. L.A. Dale. Interment was at Mount Hope cemetery.
