Funeral services for Raymond A. Burrows were held Monday from the Willim Funeral Home. Burial was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

He died Friday night at the Clarion Community Hospital where he had been taken earlier in the day. For the past several months he had been a patient at the Golden Acres Manor in Dows.

Born on February 18, 1889 in Dows, he was the son of William A. and Isabell Baines Burrows and received his education in the Dows schools. For a number of years he farmed with his father on the west edge of Dows.

He is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Iva Smith, Northwood; Mrs. Marian Rice, Webster City and Mrs. Myrtle Merryman of Pocahontas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leo.
