MRS. ED MAHONEY
Former Resident of Franklin, Died at Portland, Oregon
Mrs. Ed Mahoney, member of a pioneer Franklin county family, died suddenly at the home of a sister, Miss Josephine Keefe, in Portland, Ore. The body was taken to Hampton for burial. The funeral was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic church there Monday morning. Mrs. Mahoney was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Keefe, pioneers of Franklin county. She is survived by three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Mahoney, Miss Josephine Keefe, Mrs. Emmett Kelly, all of Portland; W. J. Keefe, John Keefe, both of Hampton, and Sylvestor Keefe, Park Falls, Wis.

Mary Keefe, the daughter of William & Rosa Keefe is listed as age 6 (born around 1874) in the 1880 Federal Census, Mott Township, Franklin County, Iowa.
