Death of Julius Reinke
Julius Reinke, son of Carl and Dorothea Reinke was born September 24, 1858 in Brandenburg, Germany. He died June 4th, 1940 at the home of W. A. Abraham, Ackley, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and 10 days. At the age of three years he came with his parents to America. They settled on a farm north of Ackley in Franklin county, where he grew to manhood. October 10, 1887, he was united in marriage to Anna Peters. The moved to their farm, four miles east of Geneva, and lived there until 1907, when Mrs. Reinke’s health failed and they moved to Ackley. In 1934 they quietly celebrated their golden wedding. On August 3, 1938, Mrs. Reinke passed away. Surviving are his one sister, Mrs. Anna Kerssen of Omaha, Neb., other relatives, three brothers preceded him in death. He was a member of the First Evangelical church for over 40 years. Through his father’s family he had been connected with the Evangelical church for over sixty years. Services were held at the home in Ackley Thursday, at 2 p.m. Rev. Buermann and Rev. Cerka presiding.
