Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sailer Among the Early Comers
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sailer have been residents of south Franklin county and of Ackley during the past fifty-two years. It is a long time and takes in a lot of history as it has been woven through the succeeding years. They have been readers of the World-Journal “these many years,” and regularly in mid-July, Mr. Sailer comes in at the office to shove the date on his subscription label a year ahead. He gives some interesting accounts of the events of the years since coming to America from Germany, a youth of seventeen years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Sailer continue on in very good health.
