Hi Joe,
I looked up your Reams family on Ancestry.com and one researcher has your John R. Reams family back to 1622 and possibly into the 1500's. Researchers have your John R. Reams married to Margaret (Peggy) Riehm.

The researcher has listed the parents of George as:
Abraham Reams and Magdalena March. Abraham was married twice and Magdalena appears to be listed as his second wife.

Abraham Ream b. 24 Aug 1749 Lancaster, Lancaster, PA and died 15 Aug 1817 Haines, Centre, PA. He was the son of Nicolas Ream b. 1721 d. 1774 and Elizabeth Sarah Reiter b. 1723 d. 1761. Abraham married first Elizabeth Neidig b. 1749 and d. 1790. They had 8 known children. After Elizabeth's death, Abraham married Magdalena March b. 1752 d. 1824 and had 7 more children, including your George Reams.
