Beverly Anne Wedeking passed away Thursday, November 29th, surrounded by family, at North Iowa Hospice after a hard fought battle with cancer for 20 years.

Beverly was born on November 30th, 1940, in Dumont, Iowa, to parents Benjamin and Pearl Siems. Beverly graduated from Dumont High School in 1958. In 1958, she married her high school sweetheart, Tom Wedeking. She was a member of the Old Stone United Methodist Church in Rock Falls for over 40 years. Pies were one of her many specialties and her grandchildren referred to her as pie grandma, along with flower grandma.

Beverly resided in North Iowa most of her life, spending the last 46 years in the Rock Falls and Nora Springs area where she had a Christmas tree business, “Roots-n-Branches”, and was known for her many flower gardens. Bev earned a degree of Master Gardening and shared her gift with family and friends. She had a love-hate relationship with weeds. She despised finding them in her yard but her favorite pastime was weeding!
