Beverly Jean Arndt was born May 14, 1939 at Mason City, a daughter of Leo and Lois (Beckett) Fish.

She was united in marriage to Ted H. Arndt, Jr. on September 5, 1958 at the Church of Christ in Mason City.

Bev's life was centered on her family. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren and attending their many activities. Bev was an avid homemaker and a second mother to several. She shared her love to all through her cooking and baking.

It wasn't unusual for the Arndt household to be full of Bev's baked goods and she was up more nights than not from 4:30 am to 2 am cooking and serving. Needless to say, no one ever left the Arndt household hungry because of Bev. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone and was loved for her infectious smile and laugh. Bev was truly a ray of sunshine and a glimmer of God's light in many lives.

Bev is survived by her son, Randi (Diane) Arndt, Rock Falls, three daughters: Pam Meyer, Johnston, Brenda Schultz, Nora Springs, Penny (Rob) Sturges, Mason City; six grandchildren, Chloe, Jennifer, Morgan, Kelby, Parker, and Stone; a sister, Shirley Herndon, Mason City; a brother, Larry Fish, Palm City, FL; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Leo and Lois Fish; husband, Ted; son-in-law, Denny Schultz; sisters-in-law, Suk Fish and Marlys Kramm; and brothers-in-law, Tom Kelly and Larry Herndon.
