Debra “Debbie” Ruth Bean

August 3, 1954 - July 18, 2018

Mason City - Debra “Debbie” Ruth Bean, 63, of Mason City, died Wednesday (July 18, 2018) at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City.

A Celebration of Debbie's Life will be held at 2:00pm Friday (July 27, 2018) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City with Jason Ward member of Grace Church officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral chapel.

Debra Ruth Innes was born on August 3, 1954 at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, the Daughter of Ronald Innes and Peggy Keifer. She received her education in public school and graduated from Rockford High School in 1973. Debbie has two children, Sandy (Landis) Coleman of Mason City and Kevin Bean of Mason City.

Debbie had a love of fishing, bingo, card games and arts and crafts. She also loved music, which she would always seem to sing along to. Her favorite songs were “Last Kiss” and “Teen Angel.” She loved to be outside, unless it was winter. She was known to be a bit of a TV junkie and loved to watch game shows, comedies, westerns and WWE wrestling. Her biggest joy though was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was stricken with several health ailments and spent her later years living with and being cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Landis Coleman. Despite her health issues, she was always happy, smiling and spunky.

She certainly taught her family and friends much about the beauty of life, the will to live beyond all odds, and how the love of family is so much greater than any medicine can provide.

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Landis) Coleman of Mason City; her son, Kevin Bean of Mason City; a sister, Vicki (Steve) King, of Marble Rock; her brother, Dan (Laura) Innes of Papillion, NE; two grandchildren, Aubury Coleman and Zabrian Coleman of Mason City; one great-grandson, Zuelz Coleman of Mason City; her second mom, Jane Innes of Greene; and aunt, Barb (Wayne) Rumsey of Marble Rock; her nieces and nephews, Jeremiah (Joanne) Miller of Marble Rock, Heather (Robert) Putney of Marble Rock, Carrigan and Katherine Innes, Papillion, NE, and two great nieces and four great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron Innes and Peggy (Keifer) Petit; her brother, Randy Innes; and her grandparents, George and Mildred Keifer, grandparents Scotty and Bernice Innes along with her second grandpa, Barney Vohres.
