Gerry E Hartwell

April 6, 1943 - January 16, 2018

Gerry E Hartwell of Sun City West, Arizona; passed away on January 16, 2018 after a short illness. He was born on April 6, 1943. He was the dearly beloved son of Gerald and Monita Delores (Brownie) Hartwell. Gerry Graduated from Mason City High School in 1961.

He married the love of his life, Gloria Jean Stangler on January 11, 1963. They had 1 son Todd and lived in Mason City. Gerry worked at White Motors, (Oliver Tractor Works) in Charles City a quality inspector for the next 20 years. Gerry was an innovator who increased efficiency in plant operations and inspection. In 1983 Gerry, Gloria and Todd relocated to Arvada, Colorado; where he worked at the Rocky Flats U.S. Department of Energy plant. After early retirement he worked part time for the EPA in the nuclear waste division.

Gerry loved his vehicles, was a car guy who loved the hunt, the negotiation and the drive. Gerry and Gloria enjoyed RV life after retirement with extensive travel throughout the United States; with much of their travel in warm area regions of the country. Finally, Gerry, Gloria and Todd settled in their home at 13239 W Kodiak Dr. in Sun City West, Arizona 85375-4940.
