Died: November 23, 2017

Donald J. Kelly, 76, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was born in Marble Rock and lived in northeast Iowa for many years.

Don was a devoted husband for 54 years to wife, Kay. He was the loving and proud father of his children: Mike (Elizabeth) Kelly, Joe (Michele) Kelly, Deb Kelly, and Dan Kelly; grandsons: Brennan, Sean, Kieran, Dylan, and Aidan. Don is also survived by beloved sister, Joan (Vern) Baldus; brother, Larry (Jose) Kelly; brother-in-law, Larry (Mary Ann) Sweeney; and many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Don worked as a director and project manager for 36 years with Northwestern Bell -- later US West.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mildred, and brother-in-law, Pat Sweeney.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 7025 Halifax Ave. N., Brooklyn Center, MN 55429. Inurnment at a later date at Sunset Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society of MN.
