ROCKFORD, IOWA - Ryan Clark Uker, 53, of Rockford, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Minnesota. Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.

Obituary for Ryan Clark Uker

Ryan Clark Uker, 52, of Rockford, Iowa, died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Minnesota.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Twin Strike Emporium, 124 West Main, Rockford, Iowa. In memory of Ryan please wear Harley Davidson apparel and feel free to bring your bikes if you have them and sweets if you want them.

Ryan was born on October 20, 1964, in Mason City, Iowa, to Richard and Peggy Uker. He was a life long resident of Rockford and graduated from Rockford High School in 1983. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors; especially asparagus hunting, shed hunting, mushroom hunting and fishing. Ryan and the love of his life “Hazel” Mindy have three boys: Mitchell, Tanner and Colby. He loved spending time with them and attending their activities.

Ryan was a mechanic for all his boys; he spent countless hours in the garage with them. Ryan was an avid motorcycle rider and loved his Harley Davidson bike. An unforgettable family trip to Florida included Mindy and her sister Hope surprising Ryan and brother-in-law Eric with visiting the Daytona 500 track. Ryan will be remembered as a big teddy bear with a huge heart and delightful smile.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, “Hazel” Mindy Grady of Rockford and their three sons: Mitchell (Anna) Grady, Tanner (Elizabeth) Grady and Colby Grady; brothers: Roger Uker, Shawn (Jackie) Uker and Bryan (Teresa) Brandau; sister-in-law, Hope (Eric) Ewing; brother-in-law, Duane Fisher; nieces and nephews: Taylor aka Tater Salad, Colton aka C-Dog, Shane (Kristen), Caylor, Chelcie (Jace), Cody, Casey, Christian, Joey, Dusty (Shannon) and their son Maverick and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Peggy Uker and brother, Charlie Brandau.

Those planning on an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials in care of the family.
