The Effect of Sun Stroke.
West Union Gazelle:—John, youngest son of Wm. Duggan, Sr., died at his home Tuesday, Aug. 8, aged 36 years. Deceased lived in Randalia and vicinity from childhood until about two years ago when he went to Marshalltown and from there to Mason City. While at work near there July 27 he received a severe sun-stroke. His sister went to Mason City and the following week he was so much better she came home bringing him with her, but about a week after a fever set in and on Aug. 5th he become unconscious, remaining so until death came to his release.

Transcriber’s Note: Iowa Gravestone Photos show he was born Feb. 11, 1864 and is buried in St. Francis Cemetery.
