OBITUARY.
JOHN CAMERON TODD
as born at Volga City, Iowa, on the 28th day of Sept., 1874. During the year of 1886 he came with his parents to West Union, where he has since resided until a few weeks ago failing health made it necessary to remove him to Oakwood Sanatarium at Lake Geneva, Wis. For a time he seemed to improve, but was taken worse very suddenly and died on the 10th day of June. His body was brought to West Union, accompanied by his sister, Dr. Anna Todd, of Peoria, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church at 2:30 o'clock P.M. on Friday, June 13, by Rev. M.S. Rice and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery by the side of his father who died less than two years ago.
The service conducted by Rev. Rice was very appropriate, the kind and sympathizing words being very helpful to the sorrowing family. Special mention should be made of the songs -- "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me" and "Nearer my God to Thee," which were very feeling and beautifully rendered by Mrs. E.B. Shaw and Mrs. R.O. Woodard.

John was a good and very industrious man and was much respected by his friends and beloved by his family. The brothers and sisters present were Mrs. W.P. Shaffer and Arthur Todd of West Union; W.M. Todd of Michigan, Anna Todd of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Frances Merrell and Henry Todd, of Sterling, Ill. One sister Mrs. Frank Becht of Topeka, Kas. could not be present.
