MRS. CORA MARSH
OELWEIN, Ia. – Cora, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nichols, was born in Fort Dodge on Nov. 17, 1865, in 1886 she was married to George Marsh who died in 1938.
She has lived in Oelwein since 1907 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church here and of the Elizabeth Guild of that church. She was also a former member of the Pythian Sisters.
She is survived by one son Harry, of Medford, Ore., two daughters, Mae, Mrs. Forrest Borland and Phoebe, Mrs. Art J. Bennett, both of Oelwein; and by 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Two children, Joseph and Dora preceded her in death. She died Thursday on Thursday, Feb. 5th at the age of 93 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hintz Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., in charge of Dr. L. W. Hauter. Burial will be in the family lot at Vinton, Ia. The following served as casket bearers: Forrest, Hollis, Keith, and Robert Borland, A. J. Bennett and E. J. Leins.
