Mrs. Nels Jepsen died Wednesday morning from a paralytic stroke which occurred about three weeks ago. On her arrival at the hospital Monday morning she underwent an operation but she died less than 48 hours later. Mrs. Jepsen was 77 at the time of her death. Her husband preceded her in death 7 years ago. Since then she has lived alone in her home here. Mrs. Jepsen leaves eight children to mourn her death. They are: Marie Leitner of Minneapolis, Minn; Annie Gadder of Burt; Laura Larsen of Estherville; Helen Henricksen of Ringsted; Carrie Mouritsen of St. Peter, Minn.; Dagmar Andersen of Emmetsburg; Esther Fing of Ringsted, and Thyra Davidsen of Waverly.

Mrs. Nels Jepsen died at two o'­clock Wednesday morning in the Cole­man hospital in Estherville. Two weeks ago she suffered a stroke and last Sunday night she was rushed to the Coleman hospital where an emer­gency operation was performed to re­move a blood clot on the brain. Fun­eral arrangements have not been made at this time.

Mrs. Neils Jepson, 77, of Ringsted, pioneer of Emmet county, died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock at the Coleman hospital following an operation Monday morning. Mrs. Jepson, who has always been in good health suf­fered a stroke about three weeks ago and has been bedfast ever since. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home in Ringsted and at 2:15 at the St. John's Lutheran church. The Rev. C. S. Kloth will offici­ate. Burial will be in the Ringsted cemetery. Mrs. Jepson was born in Denmark in April, 1857. She came to this county with her husband and family nearly 40 years ago at which time she joined the St. John's Lutheran church in Ring­sted and has been a faithful member ever since. She is preceded in death by her husband, who died in June, 1927, also two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by eight children, who were all with her when she passed away. They are Mrs. L. H. Larson and Mrs. Eric Davidsen of Estherville, Mrs. Carl Fink, Mrs. Peter Hendricksen of Ringsted, Mrs. Andrew Anderson of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Emil Mouritsen of St. Peter, Minn., Mrs. Clark Godden of Burt and Mrs. Mary Leitner of Minneapolis. She also leaves 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
