In Response To: great grandmothers grave (Marcia Champlin Oliver)

I am a member of the Emmet County Iowa Genealogical Society. At the Emmet County Courthouse I checked the county death records. Minnie Parsons Champlin is not listed in this county's death records. She may have died in a sanitorium if she died of tuberculosis.
The only Champlin deaths recorded in Emmet County were Iva Champlin who died on August 25, 1903 of heart failure at the age of three days and Ivan Champlin who died at the age of one month on October 13, 1903 of consumption. Both were born in Estherville and died in Estherville. Both deaths were listed in Emmet County Death Record Book 2, page 8.
The records usually name the cemetery where people were buried; but these records only named where deaths occurred.
