Harry W. Larson, son of John and Garda (Linquist) Larson, was born on June 22, 1923 in rural Armstrong, Iowa. He passed away at Mayo Health Systems in Mankato, on June 13, 2021 at age 97.

Harry attended Armstrong Country Schools. He farmed in the Armstrong and Swea City area his entire life. On December 4, 1943, he was united in marriage to Muriel "Micky" Jenks. The couple retired from farming in 1981. Harry continued to visit the farm and bring “his boys” cookies and pop to which ever field they were working at that day. Harry and Micky enjoyed spending their winters in Arizona. Micky died on April 21, 2019.

Harry was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Swea City. He will be remembered as the best of the best. His sense of humor and life of the party attitude will be greatly missed. Harry enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping, bowling, playing cards and dancing.

Harry is survived by his brother Laverne Larson of Swea City, his sisters Millie Kittleson of Sherburn, Ellen Klusendorf of Peoria, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

Harry is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother Leonard Larson, and his sister Evona Nelson.

The funeral service was held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong with interment at Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City, Iowa.
