Bruce Michael Moffitt 1956-2021

Bruce Michael Moffitt, the son of Clarence and Gladys (Aylward) Moffitt, was born on July 28, 1956 in Estherville, Iowa. Bruce died Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home in Spencer, Iowa at the age of 64 years.

Bruce married Mary Jane Origer on May 15, 1982 in Estherville. He worked for New Dawn Foods, Morrell, and AgChem in Estherville before the couple moved to Pillager, Minnesota where he worked for Manions Lumber. After Bruce retired, the couple moved back to Spencer.

In his younger years, Bruce enjoyed his 1970's Challenger, wrestling, and horses. Most recently, Bruce loved his dogs, and his family, most importantly, his grandbabies. He would do anything for his family. He was very dedicated to his parents, helping them any way he could.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Jane Moffitt, of Spencer; his children, Branden (Trista) Moffitt, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Katie (Mike) Page, of Graettinger, Iowa, Brigette (Steven) Lytle, of Spencer,and Kirstin Welhousen of Spencer; Eleven grandchildren; honorary family member, Brian Zak; siblings, Maureen Sifert, of Estherville, Steve (Dawn) Moffitt, of Estherville, Jim (Carol) Moffitt, of Estherville, Jerry (Becky) Moffitt, of Sauk Centre, Minnesota, Paul (Shirley) Moffitt, of Estherville, Roger Moffitt, of Ames, Iowa and Bryan (Anne) Moffitt, of Estherville.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Gladys (Aylward) Moffitt, and nephews, Dallas Moffitt, Mo Moffitt and Randall Moffitt.

A funeral service was held Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Henry-Olson Funeral Chapel in Estherville.
