Hello Brian.
Here are the links to what I found on George Macomber
George Macomber

b. September 12/13, 1795 Cambridge Washington City, NY d. August 3/8, 1880 Boyer Twp. Crawford Co. Iowa buried Oakland Cemetery, Dennison, IA

George was a veteran of the War of 1812 according to this source

father: Gideon Macomber II

mother: Susan O HARROW

married Hannah VAN CISE circa 1820-1825 Hannah was born circa 1800 and died circa 1867; George's second marriage was to Minerva ? before 1850. She was born circa 1805 and died July 1/2, 1883 in Crawford Co. Iowa She is buried in the Oakland Cemetery Dennison, IA

George's children were James Henry and Simon by Hannah and possibly Laura Macomber SHADER also; Hannah Macomber PARKINS may have been the daughter of Minerva.

seems to be confirmed by this source

If true, this suggests a divorce rather than her death as George married Minerva second and had a daughter also named Hannah who married Parkins. Hannah the mother did not die until 1867 but George and Minerva are together in the 1850 US Census

I have not identified a daughter named Cornelia in this family. Although it could be the second name of one of the daughters.

David Calderwood who is my cousin has researched the Macomber/Macumber family information in Ancestry.com. If you are on that service, you may be able to contact David to see what he knows. I do not have a current email address for David. Should I discover pertinent information about the George Macomber family, I will let you know.
