Sister Jeanne (Joachim) Wickham, OSF, 91, of Clare House, Dubuque, Iowa passed away at 1:50 PM Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Clare House

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Francis Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 with Funeral Vigil at 7:00 p.m. in Francis Chapel.

She was born on September 18, 1927 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of James and Roseline (Delaney) Wickham.

Sister entered the Sisters of St. Francis August 25, 1944 and made final profession of vows August 12, 1950. Sister received her master's degree in education administration at Loras College in Dubuque, IA. She ministered as an educator in Iowa at Templeton, Holy Cross, Sioux City-Riverside, Monticello, Dubuque-Holy Trinity, and Worthington. She served in community leadership as Coordinator of the North Central Region. She later ministered in Pastoral Care in Des Moines and Dubuque at Mercy Hospital and Holy Family Hall.

Sister is survived by her sisters Sister Rosemary Wickham, OSF and Helen McClain; her brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Brenda Wickham; nieces and nephews, and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared over 73 years of her life.

Sister was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, James William Jr. and Genevieve and a brother-in-law, Francis McClain.

The Sisters of St. Francis express their thanks to Hospice of Dubuque for their care and concern.

Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque, IA.
